Typically for boundaries around 15-50 metres depending on terrain and fence length, with a lifetime guarantee since it's a one-time cost, not something you'll pay again. We take this seriously because an emergency vet visit for toad poisoning can run up to $5,000, and not every pet makes it in time. We lost our own dog Billy this way, it only takes one toad, one time.

A couple of things to know as a renter

Fencing usually requires landlord approval, and typically runs $1,500-$5,000. Since it's a permanent improvement to a property you don't own, it's worth having that conversation with your landlord first, some are happy to split the cost or cover it as a property improvement, particularly if pet damage or a scare is the reason you're looking into this.

Not sure fencing's realistic for your situation, or want to explore ongoing removal plans that don't need landlord approval? A consult can sort out either.
