Permanent Toad Control
Cane Toad Proof Fence & Exclusion Fencing
Professional toad mesh fencing and exclusion barrier installation for Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW. The only method that permanently stops toads entering your yard.
"Toads are gone, pets live on."
The Only Permanent Way to Keep Cane Toads Out of Your Yard
Removal reduces numbers. Trapping disrupts breeding. But neither method stops toads from re-entering your property from surrounding areas. Our cane toad exclusion fencing creates a sealed perimeter — a toad-free zone your pets can enjoy safely, 24/7, without ongoing intervention.
Already have toads inside? Book a toad removal — we clear the interior and install the barrier in the same visit.
Professional Cane Toad Mesh Fencing
Our PetSafe Barrier is a fine mesh toad exclusion system installed at ground level along your existing fence line. With 10mm or smaller openings, it excludes adult toads and the tiny juvenile toadlets that standard fencing lets straight through.
We seal all gaps, treat gates and access points, and clear any toads already inside — so you start with a completely clean perimeter.
It's UV-stable, pet-proof and whipper-snipper resistant. It blends into your fence line and requires no ongoing maintenance.
Why Standard Fencing Doesn't Stop Cane Toads
— and what our toad exclusion system does differently
10mm Mesh — Excludes Toadlets
Juvenile cane toads can be as small as 1cm. Standard mesh lets them through. Our 10mm barrier stops them at every life stage.
Ground-Level Seal
Toads don't climb — they follow the fence until they find a gap. We install flush to the ground with no gaps, including on uneven terrain.
Sealed Gates & Entry Points
Gates are the most common failure point. We treat every access point with brush strips, threshold seals or recessed frames.
Durable & Low-Maintenance
UV-stable mesh that won't sag, snap or unravel. Once installed it requires no ongoing maintenance.
Custom-Fit for Your Property
Every property is different — perimeter length, terrain, existing fence type, gate configuration. We assess your block and design the right barrier system for your situation, whether it's a flat suburban backyard, a sloping acreage block, or a property near a creek or waterway.
Barrier height is typically 75cm — tall enough to stop toads following the fence line over the top if the mesh settles, and discreet enough to blend in.
"The fencing blends in perfectly and gives us complete peace of mind when our dogs are outside." — Gold Coast customer
How Cane Toads Get Into Your Yard
Cane toads don't climb — they patrol the fence line until they find an opening. Standard Colorbond, timber paling and pool fences all have gaps at ground level that toads exploit: under gates, around post footings, and through mesh that's too coarse.
During peak season, suburban properties can be re-invaded within days of a removal visit. Toads move in nightly from neighbouring properties, parks, drains and waterways. Without a sealed barrier, removal is a temporary fix.
Even a 2cm gap at ground level is enough for juvenile toads. Our system eliminates every entry point.
How Toad Exclusion Fencing Is Installed
Free Site Assessment
We visit your property, measure the perimeter, identify all entry points and any existing toads inside the zone. Usually 30 minutes for a standard block.
Installation + Interior Clear
Our team installs the mesh barrier, seals all gates, and removes any toads already inside — typically in a single visit.
Confirmed & Protected
We walk the perimeter to confirm the seal before leaving. Your pets have a permanently toad-free zone from that day forward.

Ideal For
Additional Ground Barrier Benefits
Our toad exclusion mesh is primarily designed to stop cane toads, but customers regularly report benefits beyond toad control.
What the ground barrier helps with:
- ✓Primary: Blocks cane toads at all life stages
- ✓Bonus: Reduces rodent access at ground level
- ✓Bonus: May deter ground-level snake entry (not guaranteed)
- ✓Bonus: Helps keep rabbits and lizards out of garden beds
Snake Disclaimer
Snakes can climb trees, walls and fences. The ground barrier reduces ground-level snake access but cannot be relied upon as complete snake protection.
"We installed it for cane toads and it works perfectly. As a bonus, we've noticed far fewer rodents in the garden too." — Gold Coast customer
